I can't help myself. I'm so punny.
As Skinde has mentioned here and there, he decided to build himself a bar this past spring, and has been reaping the benefits (by reap I mean swallow vigorously in large quantities of the hard stuff. Ya. The hard stuff.) ever since.
I have decided to build a bar outside, off the end of our swimming pool. Now, when they put the pool in a few years ago, they had to bring in roughly 50-70 yards of gravel because as they dug, they hit massive ground water - so instead of continuing to dig, they built up the land around the pool by about 3 feet.
At the end of my pool, it pretty much drops off the patio and looks like this ugly half-assed thing. In order to do ANYTHING with it, we need to bring in fill. Lots of fill - roughly 90 yards of fill.
I'm excited because today, they showed up with 20 of those 90 yards, along with the equipment to move it. A shameless plug to John over at FDContractingNH.com - he's the man doing the excavation.
Now Skinde will try and tell you that I can only use the bar during the spring and summer because it will be outside... and that is partly true, and frankly, isn't a bad thing since the best I'll be able to do is be a part-time alcoholic, whereas he has taken the full-time job at this point. It's going to be hell at Park City Peaks (no link for you slobs... I want my hot chocolate first, fuckers) sports bar this year when we make an attempt to get loaded. We're going to clean house, and that's just with Skinde drinking.
More later on skindholic and the newest love of my life: dirt.
Well Fat and Skinde have done it again - We ran the Wason Pond Pounder, and this year we did it TWICE! [FLV:0036_Wason2012.
OFFICIAL REVIEW: The Hunger Games
On a whim I decided to go to the movies last night. As I browsed Fandango looking for something to watch, I noticed the overwhelming amount of press that The Hunger Games was getting.
It's been forever since we posted anything on here, so here's what we did over the past weekend. We ran a race! No, seriously, we ran a race.
NH Brewers Festival, We're Going!
Fat and I are heading off to the Southern NH Brewers Festival, hosted by White Birch Brewing. As VIP's (The only way we roll) we will have a meet and greet with all the brewers, dinner, music and of course beer tasting by all the craft brewers in the southern NH area.
