You probably don't know where I'm about to go with this, but here it goes...
They're going to re-make Gilligan's Island.
Really? Gilligan's Fucking Island?
Seriously, I heard about this the other day. Is Sherwood Schwartz so desperate for one last hurrah before he fossilizes that he feels compelled to release this abortion? IS America so starved for mindless entertainment that they're willing to swallow the blue pill and accept this as viable entertainment?
Morpheus is shitting in his huggies as we speak, I'm sure.
Even Bob Denver (The original Gilligan for those of you not cultured enough to understand all the beauty that is television of the 60s) is most likely doing barrel rolls in his grave over the prospect of reviving this rediculous corpse of a TV show.
And seriously, Beyonce as Ginger? They'd be better off getting Rachel from this season's Big Brother, she's a better redhead and equally as annoying. I am ashamed of myself for even knowing anything about the potential casting of this show, it's like knowing a dirty secret about your mother (Which I do know a few of those too).
Where are the likes of the Wachowski brothers (well brother and she-male now)? Where are the groundbreaking films like some of the shit we saw in the 90's? I fear that Hollywood has turned into nothing but a big grinder for rehashing the same old shit that we look back on as adults with a look of shame in our eyes knowing that we watched and enjoyed it. We've turned into a bunch of reality TV junkies that can't comprehend an original thought.
Shit, I think Survivor starts pretty soon. I need to go get some beer and get ready.
Well Fat and Skinde have done it again - We ran the Wason Pond Pounder, and this year we did it TWICE! [FLV:0036_Wason2012.
OFFICIAL REVIEW: The Hunger Games
On a whim I decided to go to the movies last night. As I browsed Fandango looking for something to watch, I noticed the overwhelming amount of press that The Hunger Games was getting.
It's been forever since we posted anything on here, so here's what we did over the past weekend. We ran a race! No, seriously, we ran a race.
NH Brewers Festival, We're Going!
Fat and I are heading off to the Southern NH Brewers Festival, hosted by White Birch Brewing. As VIP's (The only way we roll) we will have a meet and greet with all the brewers, dinner, music and of course beer tasting by all the craft brewers in the southern NH area.
