Yeah bitches, we got our tickets! Fat was scheduled to order his at 1PM today and I had a 1:30 slot. Here's the rundown on how it went.
FAT: Signs into the ticket ordering system and queues up his 5 movie selections. Goes to check out, and one of our movie selections (Blue Valentine) only has 1 ticket available. A quick panicked race through the schedule nets us the same time slot with what looks like it will be a better movie (Homewrecker). All is well.
SKINDE: I go to sign in at 1:30PM to order my tickets and get a fatal error on the site. I swallowed my heart, signed in again and put in my ticket codes. I confirm with Fat that they are all correct selections and hit checkout. BOOM! Fatal error again! Now pissed and scared I sign in again, hoping that they'll even let me (They did) and rushed through the checkout process, confident that we had all the right choices. It did ultimately let me check out and I got all 5 of my movie picks. WOOT!
According to Fat this year's ticket process was better than last years. I wouldn't know as I had zero participation in last year's ticket purchase other than picking a couple movies (which we didn't get to see anyway).
So there ya go, we're confirmed, and 100% ready to go! The camcorder is all primed for documenting our drunken filmfest and we look forward to entertaining you and ourselves.
As a subnote, I wanted to let everyone know that as an added bonus this year we will be adding movie trailers (if we can find them) and synopses for all the movies we watch on the site. We want you to be as entertained as we are, so get ready to grab a beer and watch along with us!
Well Fat and Skinde have done it again - We ran the Wason Pond Pounder, and this year we did it TWICE! [FLV:0036_Wason2012.
OFFICIAL REVIEW: The Hunger Games
On a whim I decided to go to the movies last night. As I browsed Fandango looking for something to watch, I noticed the overwhelming amount of press that The Hunger Games was getting.
It's been forever since we posted anything on here, so here's what we did over the past weekend. We ran a race! No, seriously, we ran a race.
NH Brewers Festival, We're Going!
Fat and I are heading off to the Southern NH Brewers Festival, hosted by White Birch Brewing. As VIP's (The only way we roll) we will have a meet and greet with all the brewers, dinner, music and of course beer tasting by all the craft brewers in the southern NH area.
