Skinde brings you closer to the Somewhat North Of Boston film festival!
No, not a snob, but a SNOB. That's Somewhat North Of Boston film festival to those who don't know. Fat and I are already getting ready to pick our movies and plan our film getaway!
Here are a few of my personal picks:
Red Princess Blues
Directed by Alex Ferrari
In this twisted modern day fairy tale ZOE, a young teenage girl, is lured into an after hours carnival tent by the sleazy rock n roll carney RIMO, she then gets more then she bargained for. It is up to the mysterious PRINCESS, the star of the new knife show at ROSCOE'S CARNIVAL & FREAK SHOW to pull her out of the wolf's den that she has fallen into.
Dark Scribbles
Directed by Michael Venn
Dark Scribbles is the story of Angela Roberts, a talented psychic whose recent visions may have greater meaning then what they initially appeared to have. It seems that her psychic abilities and her professional and personal relationships are becoming intertwined. With the help of her husband and friends she soon realizes that sometimes nothing is exactly what it's supposed to be.
Beer Wars (There was no way we COULDN'T see this movie!)
Directed by Anat Baron
Beer Wars begins as the corporate behemoths are being challenged by small, independent brewers who are shunning the status quo and creating innovative new beers. The story is told through 2 of these entrepreneurs - Sam and Rhonda - battling the might and tactics of Corporate America. We witness their struggle to achieve their American Dream in an industry dominated by powerful corporations unwilling to cede an inch.
This contemporary David and Goliath story is ultimately about keeping your integrity (and your family's home) in the face of temptation. Beer Wars is a revealing and entertaining journey that provides unexpected and surprising turns and promises to change the world's opinion on those infamous 99 bottles of beer on the wall.
There are more films that are going to be announced shortly, but these are Skinde's personal picks. More juicy details soon!
Well Fat and Skinde have done it again - We ran the Wason Pond Pounder, and this year we did it TWICE! [FLV:0036_Wason2012.
OFFICIAL REVIEW: The Hunger Games
On a whim I decided to go to the movies last night. As I browsed Fandango looking for something to watch, I noticed the overwhelming amount of press that The Hunger Games was getting.
It's been forever since we posted anything on here, so here's what we did over the past weekend. We ran a race! No, seriously, we ran a race.
NH Brewers Festival, We're Going!
Fat and I are heading off to the Southern NH Brewers Festival, hosted by White Birch Brewing. As VIP's (The only way we roll) we will have a meet and greet with all the brewers, dinner, music and of course beer tasting by all the craft brewers in the southern NH area.
